Thank you for landing in this little corner of the internet and welcome to the Love Drops project, where I place little hearts in public spaces. So what is a Love Drop then? It’s an evolving public art project that aims to delight, surprise and spread joy by placing small, hand-made hearts in public environments for people to find. Each weekend I visit a new location and put ten hearts in various public spots. Sometimes I linger around and see if they’re picked up but most of the time I walk away after placing them. If I make a strong connection with someone I’ve met during a Love Drop event then I give them a heart directly but mainly they are left out to be found randomly.

Your next question maybe, why are you doing this? Quite simply, I felt compelled, nudged, gently pushed by the universe to start this project because I wanted to spread a bit of joy and love to the people in my community during a challenging and uncertain time. I hope that this small gesture will at least make someone’s day a bit brighter or provide comfort.

How did this project begin? It’s a bit of a wild story. I sent a plea out to the universe to bring love into my life and well, my plea was heard and the universe delivered an answer. It took several months for me to decipher the clues that the muse of inspiration whispered in my ear and this is where I landed. An important part of this months long process involved learning how to be kind, friendly and loving towards myself, with the guidance from the Letters From Love project. I ultimately wanted to create a physical manifestation of the glorious feeling I felt while writing these letters, something to carry with me that would remind me of love’s presence in my life.

Each Love Drop is documented in my blog Love Drops on Substack. Please take a look and check out some of my posts if you’re interested.
